Louise Blackburn (Mallet)
As a qualified and experienced teacher and senior leader Louise has a track record of improving outcomes for young people. Her biggest passion is as an advocate for disadvantaged youngsters and her most rewarding days of work are helping school leaders to effectively raise the attainment and improve life chances of the most vulnerable learners. Louise achieves this by working with leaders to critically evaluate all aspects of leadership, curriculum and learning across a school or group of schools and supporting colleagues to develop and deliver bespoke plans to bring about improvements.
Louise worked cross-phase for a large Local Authority as a key member of the school improvement team, challenging school leaders to improve provision and raise aspirations. The impact of this work is seen in improved outcomes and inspection grades. Louise has led the expansion of the RADY programme for Challenging Education across five local authority areas and works closely with the virtual schools of two authorities to improve outcomes for looked after children. Louise is a skilled trainer and leadership coach and is in high demand for leadership and governor training. Louise has current inspection experience.
Louise is also a trustee in a special school Multi-Academy Trust.
